Then you may have to bring up the "N" menu and find where it says "Mesh display" and click on "Faces" under "Normals" that will show the way your faces are oriented, then you can select all of the backwards ones and use the "flip direction" button on the toolbar (which can be brought up with "T") to make them the right way. If there aren't and normal errors then the faces probably just aren't set to smooth, you can just hit the "Set smooth" button on the toolbar to fix that, if it's the case.
Go to rigs of rods forum and look under the addons thread called robbies garage. I hope that satisfies your curiosity.
Quick update i have now added the car doors also reduced the poly's whilst keeping the topography which made the car apear smoother
You could make those using a texture, you can take it from reference pictures or even from this blueprint. (But it will need editing) That will be when you'll UV-Map the car, so you shouldn't worry about it for now.
You could also have the outside edge of the vent(s) modeled so there is one big hole, with two planes with textures for the actual vents, doing that you won't have invisible parts (that you can see - looking at an angle at the vents) but it's not something to worry about; and probably doesn't look much better for what it is.
Thanks and yes i will do how exactly do you smooth it? I tried to smooth it with the modifier but it pretty much ruined it?
Idk exactly, but have you got something like smoothing without adding more polys? (3dmax have it but how about blender)
Yeah, you know, i use 3dmax and if you use it too, i'd helped you, but i used blender a long time ago and just forgot all the stuff in it, so i can't point you to some buttons which can helps you with your problem(
