A wise man, once ran a community, a small village he and friends built on dreams and hard work, he had very loyal citizens come to his village, they helped him build it

His village grew, his name was spread across the land, the village became a city,that city became an empire

Yet, will all great empires, there is someone who is willing to throw everything away to topple it

And, hiding amongst the masses of those wishing to view this great new empire, in came thieves, robbing the community of its riches. Thugs, harassing and annoying the good people, and gang kingpins, who's men never ceased to attempt to topple this kingdom

The king, along with his friends and allies, had no choice but to make the kingdom tougher, they added bigger walls, more soldiers, tougher rules to keep those trouble makers in line, sadly, these rules also punished the good people

The king said that they could not write for too long, as those trouble makers abused it, the good citizens abliged

The king said that they could not use symbols to rate other people, as trolls looking to be famous abused it, the people, reluctantly, abliged

The king said that they could not express their status, as it was abused and Unnessicary, the people abliged

We, the good people, became fewer and fewer amongst the ages, we left as the community we once loved slowly toppled itself

A great blacksmith, making the most wonderful of crafts for all to see, was one of the first to go
Along with a community advisor who had guided me through the village when I first arrived
Soon after a entertainer who's name has been all but forgotten
And those who played the roles of others to entertain
A wealthy owner of an enterprise too big to fail, until it did

These where my experiences in a once great home
Ruined by those who did not know their effects
But know them now
As the people leave in masses
They where friends, some I felt I've known my whole life, all gone, before my eyes

I am now next in line
I can see the train, coming to the station, my ticket in hand, my bags under my arms
The conductor beckoning me onboard
As I look back
I see those faces, ones now unfamiliar
As I board
I see those I once knew
Joining me on a voyage
To the other side

I'd like to say adios, goodbye amigos

The forum member cycle has been going on for a long time, but this time... the members are leaving because of the negativity of the forums rather than members that left because they just were busy with life. I don't want more good members leaving because of forum negativity... I've only been here in an account for half a year, but I've been watching the forums not on an account for years and I've seen how good this community can be. Trust me, there have been bad times that the community has recovered from; we can recover from this.

Removing profile posts is pretty stupid. Communication is becoming more restricted as changes are being made and I think it's absolute garbo.

My last status post was perhaps a bit ironic seeing today's events...

"If I asked a mod to delete this status update, will it be deleted?"

My worry about the changes is taking it away from being a community to just a place for game support. Some of the recent changes and moderating choices really feel like the forum is becoming the later. I'm sure the staff has thought about this and know what they are doing and I am open to seeing where this goes, I just hope this forum doesn't turn into just another game website/forum.

Edit: Can we stop talking about who is staying/leaving? If you want to take a hiatus from visiting a website then that's cool, but announcing it and changing profile info to reflect it seems to be a bit much...

Good gosh.. Some of you are really taking this stuff way too emotionally/personally.
And that's utterly bad for you. We are speaking of a internet forum, a service.

The service is changing in order to accomodate the current needs.
If you really take it that bad to start making emotional posts about leaving and etc.. (or on the other side, emotional posts about being strong and staying..),
Then it's probably better for you to disconnect for a while and reconsider your priorities, and maybe understand that an internet forum cannot take such important place for you, and that there much more important things out in this world that should instead.. :\

Goodbye. Hopefully you will be back sometime soon.
I have thought about leaving but I want to show my support for this incredible game, and have conversations with fellow car lovers (most people think I'm a bit weird) so I am staying.

Can I ask that if you get a notification it updates the tab title so it shows "(1) BeamNG" instead of "BeamNG" when you get a notification, its something that Facebook does for when you get a notification and I thought it would be a good addition on here
