Seriously? How could they do that to the Covet? I do believe this type of system would probably help improve the condition of the forums, so yes all the way.
Honestly, people with 500+ posts should have less restrictions. 100 is eh... A little too low.. Now I agree with what @Modem said was ratings should also have an impact on restrictions.
As forum grows it becomes inevitable that it is not possible to manage as second task, so forum needs staff to plan and design, watch and maintain. Ranking system etc. of course helps, but I'm afraid that at some point they have to start consider volunteers as moderators etc.
i think that post to rating ratios should be taken into account too. IE: if i have double the ratings then i do posts i get a higher rank
Also, the custom Ranking thing. So under the name you can write anything, For Example, ETK Owner or something. but that unlocks after the 1000 post mark
You know where it says "Developer" under the devs names, it would say something of your choice. That slot would also be filled with your rank.
That under the nickname you could write something. sort of like the banned tag. For example you could write under your name "Meme King"
See, people think that EVERYONE would end up being a super user, but a majority of accounts only have a few posts...
You get ratings from post that don't count towards post count, so that might do something to post vs rating ratio.
