Only Win10, right? Damn, they're trying everything to get people using it, but I won't. I'd try it out if I could.
Just tried it, went smoothly but I have a beast of a PC, for all the comments I guess it's pretty bad optimized. Also, no Tesla, which makes me sad. Anybody knows what are the actual plans of Microsoft with this? Will this "beta" eventually become a full, priced release or what?
Yeah they're being way too narrow with their distribution, they can't expect to see a huge number of players if their only distribution medium is the windows store.
Oh, and I almost forgot -no wheel support (supposedly it will come on summer). Also, clutch support but not even a basic stalling system (not even Assetto Corsa or Dirt-like) so you can launch on 6th gear. Guess that's what you get of a sim-cade (or is it labeled as full-arcade?)
Why? Windows 10 is still free for now. That's kind of factually untrue. If I can get 4K60 on a single GPU then it doesn't have terrible performance at all. It's either a config issue or bad hardware on your end.
I don't like the overall design and that it is hardware bound. I don't want to buy windows again every time I change something in my PC...
That's only if you upgraded from an OEM liscence or got windows 10 OEM, and just bound to your motherboard. Or that's what I had been told. MAYBE I'VE BEEN LIED TO
on the download page there's something with inapp purchases. what do they want to sell during an open beta?
ah. and do you think i can run it on 60fps even though i don have 12gb ram? got a gtx 970 , i5 4690k (4ghz) and 8 gigs. i'm asking because the download will take veeeery long with my internet speed.
For what I've seen the little I've played it already, you can pay real money to unlock cars instead of unlocking them by playing the game. The Veyron was either 99 cents or a bunch of medals.
oh okay. well if this will be the dlc system we'd get on pc , i'd be happy with it. it's better than paying so much real money to ever get your hands on a car you'll maybe drive once.
I would try it out, buy my video card is the only thing that'll make it not work at all. I have a GTX 750 with only 1 GB of VRAM and it needs at least 2. My MacBook Pro has more video memory than my 750.
I'm downloading right now, but I got a question does it have drag racing mode like Forza 6 on xb1 or no?
it's essentially a tech demo to test waters for forza 7 getting simultaneous xbox and pc release. I can't play. There's a reason it's windows 10 only. Dx12. I have windows 10 but no direct x 12 driver for my gpu
I've only ever liked the Horizon side of Forza. Maybe if Horizon 3 came out on PC I'd consider upgrading to W10, as Apex just doesn't entice me enough.
