FPS drops when switching to another spawned car

My FPS drops massively when switching to another spawned car. I have 60+ fps. If I spawn another car the fps stays above 60 easily, however if I switch to that car with TAB, the fps drops to around 15 fps and stays there. Even if I then remove that vehicle, the fps still says around 15 fps. I have to restart the game for my FPS to go above 60 again. This didn`t happen in the older versions.

So what`s causing this and how can I fix this?

    My specs:
    Gtx 980
    i7 4790k
    16 gb ram
    Windows 10

    Do you have mods?
It's possible that the other vehicle have problems and is throwing errors the moment you switch to it.
Please check again in Safe Mode (Launcher > Support Tools)

I have 0 mods. However in Safe Mode I didn`t lose any fps, so I assumed it was BeamNG folder in documents causing the problems, so I deleted the folder. I then tested the game and it did help a little but still not good. With 1 vehicle I had 100 fps, I spawned 2 other, the fps dropped to about 60 fps. I was able to switch between them with TAB without losing fps. However deleting these two vehicles didnt give me more fps, the fps stayed at around 60 fps as if those two vehicles were still there. So basicly the same problem except it didnt drop to around 15 fps like before.

Edit: I was wrong. Im still getting big fps drops below 60 after switching vehicles.

    To be sure:
Is it happening as soon you spawn a new vehicle? Ie. you click 'Spawn New' and then your FPS drops.
Or when you switch to another vehicle? Ie. you already have two vehicles on the level, and the drop happens as soon you press TAB to switch which one you are driving.

When spawning a new vehicle could make sense: The more vehicles you spawn, the more work you are adding to the simulation.
But if the two vehicles are already spawned, and this happens when you press TAB, it does not make much sense as there is no change in what your PC is simulating (vehicles are always simulated, not only when you drive them)

Okay, after more testings I figured out what is causing the issue: plugging in my CSL Elite wheel. This only happens when i have my CSL Elite wheel plugged in. The question is why??

Anyway what I do: i open the map like Utah. I start with that default blue truck. The fps basicly stays at 90+ and I can drive with my CSL Elite wheel no problem, the fps will not drop below 80. Then I spawn a new vehicle. Any vehicle basicly with Spawn new. The fps still basicly stays around 90 fps and I can drive the newly spawned car with no issues. However as soon as I switch back to the default truck with TAB, the fps drops to around 30 and it just stays there. Even if I remove all other vehicles. As I said I just figured out it only happens when I have my CSL Elite wheel plugged. Why does it happen? How can I fix this? In the older versions of this game I had no issues using my CSL Elite wheel. I think this was already happening in 0.17 however in 0.16 this was not happening.

I also recorded a video so you can exacly see how it happens:

Could be related to something being done wrong by the wheel, causing some kind of bottleneck.
Does it happen if you have the wheel plugged, but disabled the Force Feedback? (Options > Controls > Steering > (click the binding) > Uncheck the FFB box)
Did you change any settings related to the FFB? In particular the settings related to the 'Update Rate/Type'?

Additionally, please provide some Performance Graphs when this happens.
To do so, first go to Options > Gameplay and enabled the 'Advanced Features'
In the sidebar you should get some new icons, one of them being named 'Performance'. Click on it, a window will open. Resize it so it's readable.
Take screenshots of it before and while the issue occurs, and share here.

Yup it seems like force feedback is causing this issue. When I disabled the force feedback the issue went away and there were no fps drops.
I provided screenshots before and after with FFB enabled.
    --- Post updated ---
Edit: Setting the Update type to FULL fixed the issue. All is working well now :)
