FPS Friendly Crushable Obstacles

    Yes, I felt the need to make a new thread for this. And yes, these do really work.

    Stripped cars on concrete barriers work, but you could only have so many in game before the lag came and messed up your game. Automation cars were slightly better, but the overall design/purpose of them didn't work out in the end.

    Thanks to @HumanTarget , FPS Friendly crush cars and other vehicles are now in existence! So far, he has developed a car and a bus, and both work phenominally. No barrier required, but rotation upon spawning will be needed. Just download the zip and put it into your mods folder.

    Known issues with these vehicles:
    • While they help with FPS and don't require barriers, they DO still grab tires.
    • DO NOT hit them at full speed, the vehicles (especially the cars) can't stand super hard hits.
    • Sometimes, spawn might be upside down. Mess with them a little bit and they should end up correcting themselves.
    • These cars DO NOT change color, they will forever be blue... until Human fixes it.
    • The camera is broken, Human hasn't fixed this yet. Deal with it :cool:

    ...He literally had a video on a track featuring those cars. Yes, no pics, but I severely doubt it's anything bad...

    When ever i spawn the bus its just suspention.

    you need the stubby bus mod for the crush bus Alpha stubby bus

    I loaded up your map @Mike Bevavava, but the cars didn't appear, only d-series. Stubby bus worked though, I had that in. I do have FPSVehicles aswell...is it just me or is this an issue?

    Also happens with Snow Stadium for me.

    Idiot moment.. What "mods" folder? I put my tracks and vehicles into the content/ levels and vehicles folders. Where is the "mods" folder?

    You should be putting ALL MODS in the mods folder or else the game could be affected for you.

    I have winrar and i have been putting them all in the contents area. Your saying i should be dragging all the tracks and vehicles into the mods folder?

    I was taught a different way. I can put both vehicles and tracks into the mods folder just like the fps cars?

    Vehicles and terrains are supposed to both be in the mods folder. Please read and follow the instructions for the FPS cars in the description as one should.

    I did it worked out fine. Cars/buses are great. Thank you guys for the tip. Now to move everything over lol

    Yes, but the FPSVehicles are done a different way.
