Frequent Game Crash

When I play Beam NG, it crashes rather frequently. When the crash happens, the game freezes for a few seconds, and then the screen goes black. I get a windows message (that pops up in the lower right) saying that the display driver has stopped responding.

I checked the crash log files, and the initial error is this:

Failed to allocate vertex buffer

Before I continue, I should probably disclose that my computer is a not an optimal gaming machine. Its an older Dell laptop with an Intel Core i5-3210M and Integrated Graphics....yes...I know...Integrated Graphics...oh and I'm running Windows 7.

I have been able to play Beam NG since it was initially released. This crash started occurring sometime after the steam version was released (version 4?).

My main question is, can change something in my graphics settings or anywhere that might prevent this crash?
