I'm currently using Frozen Lake Version 4 4.13 and It's working fine for me in BeamNG.drive - 0.20.2. Make sure you clear the cache.. If that fails then check out some of the fixes on YouTube like this one titled as BeamNG - 0.8+ Update Fix - Fatal Vehicle Exception Error And see if they work for you... It might still apply for BeamNG.drive 0.20.2 I just noticed there's Frozen Lake Version 5 5.02 So I'll download that one to test it..
Both Frozen Lake Version 5 5.01 & Frozen Lake Version 5 5.02 is crashing the game, Frozen Lake Version 4 4.14 is running fine.. So in this case it's the older outdated map that works..
He thinks NOT as it has already been released on this website in the past so I'm more than happy to share a released mod with a fellow BeamNGer even if the mod owner doesn't want me too, Once it's been released in the past it can't be stopped in the future! This is why the mod creator should keep every version of their mod on the website as sometimes when BeamNG.drive gets upgraded to the newer version some of those once classed as broken mods start to work again as most mods classed as outdated normally still work as outdated doesn't mean broken.. When older versions get deleted, BeamNGer's are forced to ask fellow Gamers or install NoScript and Adblck Plus on Firefox (as it's safer than Chrome) so they can be protected from being forced to a browse and download from 3rd party uploaded without permission website But BeamNG.drive has removed Upload a File from Conversations which has stopped me from sharing other requested mods via Conversation page... Most requested mod is Darren9 Custom Sorts Bike that still works fine... Looks down and sees the magic Upload a File button... Sweet... I'll grab the iheartmods owned Frozen Lake User Created Content (Mod) zip to upload to you. As I'm in Australia, I use Telstra or Optus which is a lot lower technology compared to the really technically advanced parts of the world like Germany so my internet does not seem to be working :-( Just clicks post, Hopefully the zip file will be attached...
I think its perfectly fine to share in PM's as long as the author isn't not wanting you to. The author spent time in whatever they made, so IMO I think they have the right to determine if people can share their files, even if in PM's. Not saying its bad but if the mod author doesnt want you to then I recommend to not
I don't think you can upload files in PMs and that's a problem Someone shared a google drive recently with this mod in it, and a few others, if anyone wants it they can just search for it, unless the message got removed
Yes the mod upload attempts failed earlier as the internet in Australia is not as good as it use to be 25 years ago when the average download speed was around 140mbps compared to today's standed average of a slowed down to 90mbps on Cable Broadband, I no longer have Cable Broadband, I'm trying to use ADSL on Optus... In the past I was able to upload mods to share in conversations at first which is a lot like a PM Personal or Private Message, I'm 44 years old so I had to DDG Search what DM is (Direct Message) as I've never seen that used before, But after I uploaded a few Darren9 Mods that fellow BeamNGers requested for me to share with them I noticed that the Upload a File button was missing which stopped me from being able to share mods/maps that were once released on BeamNG.com which made me feel terrible... I don't want to use the privacy invading spyware called Google & Dropbox just to be able to help a fellow BeamNGer out with a cloud downloadable zip file.. I'm going to sort out all 4,370 multiple versions UCC Mods/Maps soon to tidy them up and add the authors name to them (Sure lots are outdated but most outdated mods still work fine, Some are broken but who knows, Someone might know how to fix them and re-share them as they have already been released in the past) as I refuse to overwrite older mods/maps with the newer version, I keep them all as each one is unique.. and then I'm going to package them all as one file and create a Magnate Link to post so users can gradually download it with a quality torrent client like the ad free Transmission As all the mods were released on this site in the past so I believe its fully acceptable to continue to share them. And I'm not claiming any UCC mod/map is mine --- Post updated --- Woo Hoo Brave Browser finally worked...
can you throw off the working version of the frozen lake map for beamng drive 0.23 ? I tried running 4.13 and 4.14 they work, but the roads and forest are orange and I do not know what to do about it
Welcome to the forums! A general rule of thumb with year-old posts is to refrain replying to them, because they're most likely outdated and the reply unnecessarily brings the forum to the top of the page. With your issue, it's most likely because it's outdated, however you could try clearing cache or verifying integrity. Next time you reply to a post, check its date and check if there's a red box warning you about replying. Generally, it's fine to post replies to outdated/old forums if you're uploading a fix/update to the mod with the author's permission of course. However, it usually isn't the case, which is why you should avoid replying to old posts.
