Full screen problem

When I was adjusting my settings I set it to fullscreen. When I did that the screen turned black for a few seconds and then a red bar came up on the left side of the screen. I uninstalled the game and re downloaded hoping it would revert the settings to normal, but that didn't work. I am running Windows 7. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Are you using the steam version (experimental)

 

Yes. I tried to download the other version but I don't know where to find it.

 

Alt+enter should toggle fullscreen
