    Its not really a funny name because Plains, Plain or several different variations in the US usually mean farming or open area if used in a town or categorizing a geographic area such as the Great plains. New England use to be all farming towns and most of the trees you see on a satellite or if you visit are around 70-80 years old.

    I actually do know this exists, but I don't give a damn because I didn't even care for the thread either way.

    This isn’t a street name or anything, but I once saw a group of townhomes with the name Townsville.

    Not anywhere near me, but I remember reading that George Washington (President) was born/his father settled in Westmoreland County, Virginia.
    If you know where Virginia is, you can tell how ironic that sounds...
