Game Freezes when not using it.

So I left beamng drive running in the background while i was downloading a mod, and when i came back, beamng drive stopped responding. The strange thing is that windows didnt identify it was not responding. It just stood there frozen like it was my background. Also when i tried to refocus on it by clicking on its icon in the task bar, it didnt focus on the game. The game basically turned into a background.
