Hi, i bought Beamng drive in the steam summer sale earlier today and it just refuses to work. I have 16GB of RAM, I7-7700K (4.2GHz) and a very bad GPU AMD R7 420 2GB i think it is. But when i tried to put certain settings on lowest the game froze, then when i pressed ctrl+alt+del Windows 10 froze too and this happened 4 times. So i removed the game and reinstalled it, but i made my game screen smaller to 1280x720 for testing and it got stuck on the loading screen, then when i tried to click or press anything on my keyboard it stopped responding. But when the game window is smaller i can access task manager and close the game when it stops responding instead of restarting 300 times lol. How can i fix this? Because if i can't at this rate my game time will reach 2 hours and i won't be able to get a refund. This happened on any random map i chose whether it was in full screen or a shrunk down screen size for testing. Thanks :D (I also tried it in safe mode and NO mods have been installed as i have no clue how to do that yet as i just want the game to work :D).

If your whole PC is freezing, then you should check the system itself.
Commonly, when an issue is on a program's side, it should not affect the entire system.

Also, are you sure you just closed the game too early? Usually when changing some graphical settings, there can be a small pause (varies from PC to PC), where the game is loading the new settings.
If you closed the game while that was happening, it's possible some file got corrupted. Please give a Support ID in that case: https://wiki.beamng.com/Support#A_developer_asked_for_a_Support_ID

When i put the game in a smaller window it does not respond either, but i can access task manager as i said just to close the game and start the process again. Yet when it's in fullscreen mode the "spawning player" just stays on the screen and it freezes. How long should i wait in this case for it to save the graphics settings? As i think it may well be corrupted as you've suggested, but even when i kept them on default the game froze on "spawning player" too. When i go on my PC I'll send a support I.D. Thanks :D

Your game logs does not show anything particularly wrong or that could cause your issue.

That usually means that the issue is not coming from within the game, but rather something outside is conflicting/messing with the game.
You may want to check if your antivirus, and any similar software, are accidentally doing something to the game, and eventually add it to their exclusion lists.
Also check this list of known problematic programs: https://wiki.beamng.com/Incompatible_Third_Party_Software

Also, at what point is it freezing exactly?
    On the loading screens?
Because then, just try to wait a bit more.

Usually the first time you load a level, it takes slightly longer as it's creating the level cache (to make future loading faster). The game could stop responding for a few seconds, you should not click anything or it will trigger the windows 'Program has stopped responding' window.

It usually freezes when it spawning in the player and when I tried a different map for a test it froze on something else. Unlike other people I cannot hear the car engine etc, the game literally just freezes lol. Shall I try installing it to my SSD again? And I will disable my anti virus to see if that works while trying to play it. I'll assume my specs are good enough also? Apart from the GPU which isn't very good :D. Thank you:D

So i turned off my anti virus, loaded a base map and it was stuck on spawning player for 15 minutes in full screen with no sounds etc then it froze once again. I think i will just get a refund, as the game just refuses to work correctly for me whatever i try.

    Sorry to hear that.

I have a suspect it may be related to your audio issue.
Checking closer, the game cannot find any audio device to use, or it's set wrongly.
Go in Options > Audio and check that 'Audio Device' is set to the same device Windows is using to as speaker. Restart the game after changing that, then check if you can hear anything.
If you can hear sounds again, check if the crashing issue persists.
If you still cannot hear the sounds, I advice to reinstall your audio drivers, which have often helped in very similar cases.

I will also try disabling malwarebytes too incsse that's causing a problem as well. The clicking noises etc work on the menu screen etc but while the game loads I get nothing, as it just freezes forever. But I will make sure the sound is set correctly too. Thanks. *Update* I made sure my audio is correct to match the speakers and it is, but i also put the fps limiter to 60 as it went to 353 or something in the menus. When it starts to freeze it goes from 11 to 1 and it just won't load. *Update 2* I cancelled Acronis services and ran the game from the steam folder and guess what? It finally worked lol so i may have found the fault :D. I'll check again later to make sure it wasn't a fluke.
