game keeps using my integrated gpu instead of my gtx 1060

this started happening when i got a new monitor, the drivers are upto date, tried reinstalling the game.

tried the nvidia control panel thing to no avail. please help

 

Your monitor is likely connected to your motherboard instead of your GPU.

 

im on a laptop and the monitor uses the 1060 on any other game i play, ill try to disconnect the monitor and see if that fixes it

 

Have you set your laptop to automatically use the 1060 with beamng?

 

i tried disconnecting the monitor before launching the game and that seems to have fixed it.

im pretty sure beamng is set to use my 1060 but the monitor overrides it for some reason?
i plugged the monitor back in while the game was running and it worked normally.
