Game Startup Problem

Hello Everyone,

After installing the game I select Finish and Play but nothing happens. Do I need to be connected to Steam in order to play or is there just something wrong going on. Thanks in advance for any help you offer.

 

The game will be on steam, but not currently, so you should be able to run the game with out steam even being installed, its most likley that a file or 2 got currupted during the install, run the updater, if it still does not work after that, uninstall the game and install (I had a an issue like this I would delete the whole folder and any file related to the game) and re download it, it should work then, if it still does not work try and contact the devs for a refund or maybe they can help you better than I can, also try running it as admin (Right click the .exe and run as administratior)

 

You forgot to mention that some antiviruses corrupt the file by trying to open and scan it while it's still downloading.

Try and update with your antivirus temporarily disabled.

 

Your right I did too! I will try to remember it next time, and did you get your game working yet? or naw?

 

I'm unable to play it too. I uninstalled the old version and tried the new one, but the update gets stuck at "Downloading metadata..." and finishes the installation after a couple of minutes. So I try to run BeamNG but I can't because the .exe file is missing. No antivirus installed. Any ideas?

EDIT: nevermind, ran the installer as admin and worked.
