I've seen screenshots from a couple of people who are having some odd non-missing material errors that show up all white, but there is a lot to the map that is just not yet finished. If you see untextured buildings in the more or less complete districts (the ones with single-family homes), there's something wrong. But the duplex and shop-filled Square District is still filled with a bunch of placeholders and unrefined assets, and only a handful of driveways and walkways throughout the map are actually in place. ***Since this is the start of a new page, I'd like to remind everyone to please check the Overview tab if you have recently downloaded the new version and are confronted with material/texture errors. There will be some basic diagnostic steps that will almost certainly fix the issue for you. Only post here about errors if these steps do not fix the issue.***
IF ANYONE HAS THE TEXTURE PROBLEMS THIS IS WHAT I DID. GO TO DOCUMENTS THEN CLICK BEAMNG DRIVE FOLDER AND CLICK LEVELS. DELETE THE GARFIELD HEIGHTS FOLDER. CLEAR THE CACHE AND THEN PUT THE MOD INTO THE MODS FOLDER!
"NOTICE: As a result of some major material and level file changes, updating older versions of the level may result in a legion of errors. Go to Documents>BeamNG.drive and search for 'garfieldHeights' in your explorer window. Delete every single file that comes up, other than the .zip file. Sorry for the inconvenience." So this is meant to help with texture issues? Sorry for the bump, I'm kinda confused.
Yup. A lot of people were getting No Material/Texture errors on pretty much everything except for the terrain and vegetation after the last update. Unfortunately, with the way BeamNG handles cache files, there is no quick fix. Follow the above steps if you're getting error coloring on houses, streets, and/or sidewalks.
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to your install directory, usually Documents>BeamNG.drive. From there, just search 'garfieldHeights' and it should pull up at least one file: the mod zip. If there are any other files aside from the mod zip, delete them and restart the game. If this doesn't fix the issue, there may be a conflicting mod.
I'm guessing, but don't know your operating system or the layout of your desktop. If you need help with specific instructions, search for the terms you're unfamiliar with on Google.
If you need instructions that are this step-by-step, I can walk you through this, but it'll be through PM. Would you like to do that?
