Long time forum lurker, first time poster and mod post! W O W ! Anyways... I've been vaguely interested in making mods. Mostly wanting to make part swaps or fascia edits but I didn't think I'd be able to do it since I lacked the skills when it comes to modeling or coding. But after being frustrated for the last time that I couldn't use the many simple new part mods I've found on the forums because they were too old and unsupported, I decided to finally dive head first into the world of BeamNG.Drive modding. My workflow being pretty much just futzing around in Blender and Notepad++ until I get something that looks close enough to what I was trying to achieve. And what better way to learn by fixing an already made mod. This is a fixed version of the Gavril Bandito fascia mod originally made by Reactor_4aec that you can find here. https://www.beamng.com/threads/d15-bandito.51038/ Here are the list of edits I've made... 1: Removed the baked in valence from the grille model. Now you can use whatever valence you want! 2: Re-linked the UVs to the main game's textures for the pickup. 3: Fixed hiding grille badge by lightly receding the grille's center geometry. This mod has no configs. Just the front fascia part that you can select. Bugs: Turing on the lights. T he default light positions aren't the best but work well enough. Haven't really learned how to edit that yet. The UV mapping or grille geometry could probably both be better optimized but as a first time mod (Well a fix for one at least. I take no credit for the original model.), I'd call this a success! Of course, if you think you can make some better changes/fixes to it, feel free to post them here!
