I made a post wondering about the differences of the supermatic and ultimatic transmissions as the differences are not documented. This is what I found in my testing.

Note* the Red bluebuck is more of a baseline control vehicle with a dual-matic 2 apeed auto and doesn't have much to do with competing against the others bluebucks*

(All cars are exactly the same spec only color and transmissions are changed)

    Shift point comparison:
Green bluebuck is super-matic 3 speed (Picture 1)
Yellow bluebuck is ulti-matic 3 speed (picture 2)
Red Bluebuck is Dual-matic 2 speed (picture 3)
That's the difference. Supermatic has a taller 1st and 2nd gear ratio while 3rd is the same in both super-matic and ulti-matic

    The weight in:

    Green i6 super-matic 3552 lbs
    Yellow i6 ulti-matic 3570 lbs
    Red i6 2 speed dual-matic 3546 lbs

This is a win for the dual-matic being lightest. I guess the extra gearset makes a difference in the other 2. It's cool to see that the super-matic and ulti-matic have different weights which I attribute the different gearsets used that would weigh differently

Mpg test: Done on American roads map big highway loop

    Green i6 super-matic 15.3 mpg in 30 miles at 60mph
Yellow i6 ultimatic 15.3 avg mpg in 30 miles at 60 mph
    Red i6 dual-matic 15.3 mpg in 30 miles at 60 mph

Really no difference on fuel economy for autos anyway. Thought I might see a difference from weight alone guess not

Quarter mile test: (West coast USA drag event)
I did multiple runs with each and used the best/most consistent ones

Green i6 super-matic quarter mile times
    18.04 @ 73.01
    18.22 @ 73.02
    18.21 @ 73.08

Yellow i6 ultimatic quarter mile times
    18.02 @ 72.67
    18.21 @ 72.69
    18.21 @ 72.66

Red i6 dual-matic quarter mile times
    18.73 @ 72.22
    18.63 @ 72.12
    18.71 @ 72.17

Super-matic and Ulti-matic are very close for times with Super-matic having a higher trap speed (taller gearing in 1st and 2nd). By a super small margin I was able to get the util-matic to ET a slight bit faster.
    Dual-matic wasn't even in competitive

1st gear top speed test: (West coast drag strip)
    Yellow ulti-matic 43 mph
    Green super-matic 48 mph
    Red dual-matic 64 mph

Conclusion: super-matic apprears to be better for longer gearing and cruising at lower rpm while in 1st or 2nd
Ulti-matic Appears like it's more ideal for towing trailers , hilly areas and stop light to stop light races

Both have the same actual top speed due to 3rd being the same ratio in both transmissions

Dual-matic idk where you would even use this other than cruising on the slow lane while hopping your low rider or something

Thanks for taking the time to learn along with me as ive been curious about this for a long time and haven't found anything

    Enjoy and happy crashing
