I'd like to create an EMS only version of the Gavril H45 Ambulance. Currently it is red with Fire & Rescue.
Which zip file in Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/BeamNG.drive/content/vehicles? I edited in van folder "van_skin_ambulance.dds" but that doesn't appear to be the correct file. It turned the cab black and didn't change the box like I had in Photoshop. This file "van_skin_ambulance.dds" has some of the elements (red, Fire & Rescue, white stripes) but does not match the skin of the H45 Ambulance.
Can I create a copy of a .dds file and change the name? The only way I got this change is naming the new file exactly as the original file.
Any help making a white with blue stripe ambulance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. I found part of the skin in Pickup folder. pickup_skin_ambulance-uv1.color.DDS. But this does not match the in game ambulance. There is only one white stripe, no wording "Fire & Rescue" "Ambulance". And the cab is not part of this skin. The other skin that didn't match, when edited, changed the cab to black so that is somehow connected. Can a skin for a vehicle be in separate folders? Multiple .DDS files for the same vehicle? This looked easy to do.

A modern ambulance would be a welcome addition to BeamNG.

The files for the ambulance skins are split between up to three folders.
The H-Series has a file in the "van" folder, the D-Series has it's own in the "pickup" folder, and they both use a file in the "common\pickup\ambulance" folder.
Since they all share the name "ambulance" in the materials all of them are loaded when the skin is selected regardless of the folder they are in.

I threw the skin in game and it works alright, if a little rough around the edges.
Although you'll need to create a matching texture for the box on the back too.

I've attached a quickly packed .zip for your skin, it should work as-is - the skin name is "Spacerobot EMS Livery".
Both textures are in the same folder now, feel free to unpack it and edit it as necessary.
