Yes, the material is still a wip (texture reflection will happen). The engine is ready, but I don't have custom sounds for it. If you have some sounds you'd like to share, feel free to send me a dm!
Kinda a dumb question, especially since this isn't done yet. but have you thought about doing a gen 7 update eventually? maybe even just a cosmetic body update?...
This is an interesting suggestion. The main downside I see is that the onboard microphones aren't the highest quality, and capture a lot of other noise, such as the wind and the echo off of the wall. And the microphone also cuts off a lot, like most of the growliness of the engines. As for this one, it's good, and I may go with it (with some changes to make it sound more realistic). Of course, I will also have to ask permission.
The problem with this is that cup cars sound a whole lot different from the outside than they do from the inside of the car. Heck, they even sound different in person. --- Post updated --- I think what may be the best option is the V8 in BeamNG, but maybe more throaty. Cause the stock V8 even with race exhaust sounds a tad bit odd past 7250 rpm
If He was to do the other manufacturers, he'd most likely do it after this one is fully complete. But he might not want to do them alfter the chevy so let's wait and see.
You are correct, I might do others ONLY when the bulk of the car is done. Right now I don't have any of the other irl manufacturers' body models, but there might be a stock car body of a default beamng vehicle in the works...
Nice work! however please make a config option to remove the rollcage as the issue with the current nascar mod is that the rollcage is nearly indestructible
