Why am i finding the name of a ton of parts of @LucasBE ’s k series mod in the folder mod_info-M1JXE07AF-info..? Its got tons of pictures of his mod in that folder.. Is it even supposed to be in it?
I see, thank you for the response. Funny that BeamNG's aerodynamics are evidently inadequate for drafting (and presumably the resulting speed with the restrictor is your compensation for it).. Thought it would be there at least.
It's not even supposed to have that folder in the first place, and it definitely shouldn't have it full of pictures of another mod lol
It has been a day and ive recently been attempting to get my custom skin to work on this car but the skin doesnt show up in the part selector
i think its the k series repo info folder, no idea why its in there though --- Post updated --- on a more positive note assuming that the k series thing was and accident on his end i got this to work with the 2 fast version if you want it pm me i guess (solarpower if you have any issues with that let me know) still a really cool mod though anyway.
I accidentally left that in there, it was meant for me to see how the "mod_info" folder works so I could make one for this mod, but I never got around to it and forgot to delete it.
understandable, Just incase you dont know what it is still its an auto generated file made for repo mods when they get uploaded, forum mods dont need one.
Yeah, I had figured that much. Meant to delete it but noticed after I uploaded the mod file here that it was still there. It's removed on my end, it'll be gone for the next update.
Yeah, sorry about that. At the time of when it was made, there wasn’t any decent race tires and race configurations that had the speed that would match the real life speed of the track. Plus the tire friction mod that used to use during the map’s creation was outdated for a while until just recently. The tire grip settings are in the materials.json file (you have to search for them in the file sadly due to it having a tooon of textures and it’s only used on the track surface, which is like around 4 textures) So you can definitely remove it of you want. I just like the grippy track surface because it works on the race tires and helps get cars flipping easier
hey guys I have run into this issue with the gen 6 nascar mod. It seems as if the interior of the car and the wheels arent loading in, but the engine audio and paint schemes work just fine. Does anyone know a fix for this? Thanks.
Hi, I'm having an issue with the mod where the chassis of the car won't load, only the livery and body panels will. Is there a fix to this? Cheers!
In case you are wondering if the 2fast mod is any good: It appears that not really. The Jbeam appears at least somewhat scratch made, but very badly and unstable, and likes to explode for no reason. The damage is overall completely inaccurate to the real life version. Parts of subframes can randomly break off but it still drives normally after that, hood can open for no reason, fenders are generally terribly badly made in terms of Jbeam, and there is A LOT of spiking everywhere. The AI doesn't like driving it, reverses out of nowhere or hits the brakes, and is generally slow with it. The car itself is slower than it should be too, and can randomly damage its engine and out of nowhere and get even slower. The materials are weird and everything looks a bit too reflective. Also I don't want to accuse anyone but it might be reusing some stuff from the latemodel mod, idk why but it feels like it, it's not a meshslap of it though because the Jbeam is much worse here. The only thing that really looks good about that mod is the skins, and I guess you can say the crashes are spectacular, if you ignore the spiking and the fact that it doesn't crash like a real NASCAR at all. But so far it's the highest effort 2fast mod I have seen, at least they tried unlike most of the time.
I tested this mod now, it's actually one of the mods with the most thought put into it and generally well polished, the Jbeam is professionally made but at the same time it's visibly from scratch and nothing seems copied from other vehicles, amazing job! Only 1 issue I found: The radiator seems too OP, I literally drove the dragster at full speed for a few minutes while it was on fire and it didn't overheat lol
