That's a Beam monsters map and they rebranded Charlotte as Atlanta --- Post updated --- Wait my bad that's not the same map WHOOPS
if he finds a good 3d model of a dodge maybe, we were talking about that stuff a while ago so if he finds more good gen 6 models he will do other manufacturers
Since no one wanted to help. https://2fast.racing/forums/resources/mountain-peak-speedway-revamped.115/ here's charlotte everyone
It's because the 2018 Ford car was a Fusion. The Mustang was introduced in 2019, and the car in this mod is a 2018 car.
sending you a direct message with my skin now --- Post updated --- Here is the file, for some reason I couldn't send it in a convesation chat. Thanks again for taking a look, guys like you are why I love this community!
Okay, so the first thing you did wrong is the zip itself. When you open a mod file zip, it should first have a file named "vehicles," then the internal name of the vehicle that you're making a skin for. The second thing you did wrong was the file names and some missing files. This image above is how a GEN6 Skin mod is supposed to look like inside the vehicles/nascar folder. But your files were named incorrectly and you were missing the nameplate file. The way you did was "skinname/vehicles/nascar/stepmunger," somewhat correct packaging, but not exactly. The third thing you did wrong is the fact that you used the wrong file for your skin. This is how a .dds file of a NASCAR skin should look like... VS. the way you did: And last but not least, the file names. It should be: "skin.materials.json," then "body_skin_(yourskinname)" and then "nascar.jbeam." (Replace (yourskinname) with your skins' name of course.) But you did it like this. And that is pretty much it except for the missing files for the banner. I've fixed everything for you, but one last thing: You need to re-make your skin on either of these 2 templates, I could not fit it on the template myself. After you are done re-making it, save it as "body_skin_stephenmunger.dds" and if you see your skin washed out, export the skin with paint.net, and select this when saving: And btw, edit the nameplate banner so it says what you want on the rear banner. Make sure it's centered. If you have any issues again, you can feel free to PM me again.
Here is the file, for some reason I could Thank you so much! A lot of the issues I created is a lack of mod making/coding experience, so I appeciate the step by step comparisons and comparing what I did to the right way. The .DDS file was weird, it changed the size of it on it's own, i returned the canvas to 2048x2048 and saved, but it kept loading as a 2100x2096 or something like that, maybe just a bugged file. I will post the final result when it's finished, so that way if someone wants it they can have it, and for how much I've harassed some of you guys for help the last few days I suppose I should give something back LOL
Is this how your template is supposed to look in paint.net? Its also coming up as a 300x300 pixel version not a 2048x2048 like the template in the oiginal mod, could I just resize it to fix that?
I will try again with the original template, the version in the thread is just 300x300. But do I need to make the skin 4096x4096, or can i go 2048x2048 like the original mod?
Well, the "body_decals" was 4096x4096 at least for me. If you want, you can go in the mod and get the original "body_decals" ZL1 template.
Sounds good, thank you. I'd use yours, just the size of it was throwing me off. On a day with more time, I'll give that one a longer amount of time to work with
