Bob Lutz has said a few things here and there that are good, but so much of what he says makes me wonder if he's alright upstairs. So many frightful ideas come from his mouth.

Get your heads back on straight and realize how good this is. FR sports cars aren’t gonna cut it in the 21st century, especially when it’s intended as a 911/Cayman rival. I think the switch is the best thing that ever happened to the Corvette.

Also, what about a cheaper, V6-powered “corvair?”

A huge black SUV probably will. Easily noticeable car is not the key to others' respect, intimidating one is ;).

Actually no, to seriously achieve that you have to tailgate them agressively and honk frequently. It's not appearnces, but actions :D

I was talking about preventing accidents/road rage, not creating more of them. Plus, if you do that, you might find that some huge dudes (possibly armed) from that huge black SUV in front are eager to know what's your problem.

    recently bought my first car
bought it for $1500 from a local mechanic who sells used cars. car was originally purchased from a dealership in december of 1990. Car was sold back to a used car dealership by the same owner with 119k in november 2018. the mechanic bought the car to sell. (this is his business practice)
engine is a 4A-FE mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. the only issues with the car when I bought it was the brake light on the passenger side was out, and the wipers were too big. (quit some problems haha)

I was watching a Jimmy Broadbent FM1 livestream tonight. He was scrolling through the car selection, and both myself and him thought at exactly the same time "is that a Veyron" as the following car flashed on screen, before shortly after remembering that this thing actually existed.
The Seat predates the Veyron by 2 years. Both Seat and Bugatti are VAG, so I guess it is possible that it could fit into the family tree somehow?

A somewhat cool headline I stumbled upon today (with some caveats):
    https://arstechnica.com/cars/2019/0...50-truck-by-towing-a-million-pounds-of-train/

Rail does have a fairly low amount of friction to overcome which is why this is probably less impressive than it sounds. But its still a pretty neat thing to show.

Why they put 4.2 cars on each train is a detail that is a bit weird to me. Presumably they could have done it on 7 carriages if they put 6 trucks on each one? Rather than a different number of vehicles on each carriage. But I guess that is Ford for you :p

I'm also somewhat interested as to what all the stuff they have tacked onto the bottom of the car is? I doubt customers would accept a production F-150 like that, so it must be non-standard.
