General Car Suggestions

I love the game and am well aware of the fact that it is in the Alpha but I still wanted to share some thoughts.

• Differentials-currently we have 2 options for cars. Limited Slip and open. I would like the see the adittion of a fully locked one for drifting or the option to change the resitance
• Low gear for 4WD is trucks-the Gavril doesn't seem to have much torque for climbing up hills and the addittion of a 4-low would be great to make it better at going up inclines.
• Manual/Auto transmission seperation-currently, you simply hit Q to change between auto and manual but I think it should do more than just change the shifting. The addition of 2 transmissions to every car that change weight, WHP, and gears would be great. The manual would allow for more WHP, less weight, and possibly another gear with different gear ratios.
• Nitro-I know its stupid but its something fun to screw around with.
• FWD-I think the FWD handling part of the game needs the most work. The Covet doesn't handle like a FWD car should. It drifts when you floor it and turn instead of understeering and it just feels unfinished compared to the other cars. The basic mechanics for FWD are there but I think it needs some finishing to make it more realistic.

What does that mean?

 

First, you can easily set the limited slip code to a locked code, youre just too lazy to do so.

Second, Its a mid nineties appearing truck with a 4.5 litre, and if you ask me, its perfect in terms of power, as you cant take a mid nineties 4WD Silverado (Mind you, it has more power and torque) up a 40 degree incline.

Third, Besides the HP, this is already implemented. And most cars have no power difference from manual to auto.

Fourth, That would be semi hard to code, and since we can change the power of our cars so easily, its pretty useless.

Fifth, The covet handles nearly identically to a mid nineties civic hatch due to its well set up front suspension, and basic rear suspension.

But thank you for being reasonable about these issues rather than "GAAH TIS GME IS SOO STOOPID HANDLNG SO BAD"

 

No front wheel drive car will oversteer like that when you floor it. Like I said, most of the handling is pretty good, but under full power and a turn, it handles too much like a RWD car.

 

I didn't know it was possible to misspell Commodore, considering the vehicles' iconic status. What the hell is commoadoar. It's like communist and Mordor mashed together.
