Little bit of crappy, hand held video from yesterday. We got nearly 10 inches of rain over the course of the day, and leaving from my sister's house turned out to be a bit more difficult that I thought, the one road out was totally flooded, so I had to go the long way around through the woods on 4-wheeler trails, I tried to record some of it but it was too bouncy to be watchable, so this is right after I got back onto pavement, not nearly as interesting, but you do get to see some of the flooding on the highway. (I didn't realize the radio was as loud as it was, I could barely hear it, either the camera has an incredible mircophone or I'm going deaf)
Just spent about half an hour trying to figure out why my reference images for Blender didn't line up. It's because what I thought was the side was actually the top. Thats the real definition of wasted time. Idiot.
Good ol' Molly Hatchet. Great for when you're doing dumb stuff Fun fact: The only time I went off the road (unintentionally) was shortly after that song (Flirtin' with Disaster) came on the radio.
Did you know you could send 1 gallon of Gorilla shit to anyone in the world? Hell, if I could send a gallon of Gorilla shit to anybody in this world, it would be Kim Jung Un.
I really don't understand how people get caught off guard and hit by trains while walking on the railroad tracks.
Well yeah, I'm talking about the unintentional deaths of course. I mean, surely not every single person "accidentally" struck and killed by a train was intending to get hit. When standing on the railroad tracks, you can hear an approaching train miles away. Even before you can hear the train itself, the tracks start making a weird metallic pinging sound. And the headlights on those things are bright as hell, there's no missing them at night. The only way I could see you missing it is if you're jamming to some really loud music through earbuds or headphones.
In case anyone asks "why shouldn't you download Russian mods" Well this seems like a good example why not... Super legit.
Even if you can't hear it coming you would feel it. There are level crossings near me and you can feel the ground shake when trains are coming. Considering how often delays in the UK are caused by suicides on the railway lines it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of the ones that seem unintentional are intentional. I wonder if there is a strong economic case to be made for better mental health care based purely on railway delays...
Well, for starters I check for roll before I use the toilet. But also I keep the kitchen roll in my bedroom to prevent it becoming communal kitchen roll
I used to walk along the tracks to and from school everyday and was always a little paranoid. That is until one day when I actually saw the headlights of a train crest the hill in the distance. I leapt off the tracks as fast as I could only to find it took 20 minutes for it to reach me. That said I wouldn't mess with a TGV or walk through tunnels or anything like that.
