I just heard about a Youtube stunt that went wrong and has left a guy dead. Link to the Yahoo News article. How the hell is a book supposed to stop a bullet?
Saw the BBC article for that this morning. With people from the local community coming to watch, its a wonder no one did anything. But yeah, not quite sure where they got the idea that a book would stop a bullet from. I mean, sure, if it was a BB gun...
It's just occurred to me that Beam is missing a utility type vehicle with Twin I-Beam front suspension. I should solve this...
I was under the assumption that they were using a .22, the only thing I could imagine anyone thinking could be stopped by a book. No, not a .22, Not even a .38, but a .50 AE Desert Eagle.
There were a few mods that used twin I-beams. There was an offroad Moonhawk mod that used it, and there were a small number of Ford mods that used it. I don't think any of them work anymore though.
supposedly he shot a book before and it didnt go all the way through so he thought repeating it would guarantee same result. most likely he had a squib first time --- Post updated --- though I've been playing payday 2 recently. Now that game is silly. The P90 firing FN's 5.7mm cartridge is a pretty standard SMG, not overly powerful but fun gun. The Five-Seven handgun firing the same cartridge does quad damage per shot and is armour piercing. Yup. The real military grade 5.7mm cartridge is indeed a jacketed round designed specifically to be able to punch through standard military body armour before tumbling and leaving a large wound on other side. But the in game representation can shoot through all of these: The P90 firing the exact same cartridge cannot. Video game logic eh.
Even a squib load .50 AE would blast through any book you can think of, any load light enough for it not too wouldn't be anywhere near powerful enough to even rack the slide. I've personally seen a .38 special go through 8 stacked phone books and keep going. Quoted from another forum I frequent, "It's either a clumsy murder setup or an exceptionally stupid young man looking for fame in all the wrong places."
I hate Opera 46...it has an issue ever since I updated to it that is quite annoying: the browser won't start on its own. I have to use the "OperaSetup" installer to get the browser running when I want to use it.
nonononono I used Chrome before and it's noticeably slower on my end. I don't like it. I already have a backup browser anyway.
