I think BeamNG has huge potential to be the most realistic driving simulator, due to the fact that all of the parts individually interact with one another, as opposed to having a preset handling line. However, the game lacks important(but small) details at this point to be as enjoyable as it could be. Here are a few of my suggestions:

    1.) Straight cut gears.
A straight cut whine would be very easy to implement I think, sort of just a standard thing in the reverse gear of a manual transmission, and every gear in a race transmission. This would add to the realism a lot, since so many vehicles, including mods, use a racing transmission. Pretty please?
    2.) Visual brake thermals.
Brake thermals are already simulated fairly well, but at this moment there is no glowing for hot brake discs. There is however a smoke which comes from the wheels of the car, from your brakes overheating, so I think that the discs should actually glow when they start to get hot.
    3.) Exhaust note.
Yes, I know I'm probably going to get told "Oh the sounds are still being worked on, its still the first update" or whatever, but I'm just gonna say it. Exhaust note. Different exhausts should make different sounds and volume, increase or decrease horsepower slightly, and have a very definitive sound from the back of the car. As of now, all we get is a more muffled and bassier sound from the rear of the car.
    4.) Backfires and Anti-Lag.
Anti-lag would be a really cool feature, sort of a thing that comes with turbos that's off by default, but can be tweaked in the 'tuning' tab. Launch control could be added with a two-step, and it would be so so sick. And of course, with two-step comes those beautiful little pop-pops that we all know and love. This would be accompanied with little spits of flame, and a gorgeous noise. Not only from two-step, but also from downshifting and such. (I mean, just imagine a Sunburst with a rumbly exhaust note downshifting when driving, and giving you a nice pop)
5.) More than one livery per config.
Yes, mods an be installed to add more skins to cars. But I think that under the 'color' tab when selecting a car, multiple liveries should be available from a drop-down list. Multiple stock rally and race liveries would be awesome to select from, allowing for more realistic races without downloading mods. (Think a race full of bolides, all with different liveries. Or even a covet rally race, each car being different, maybe one with a Martini inspired livery.)
    6.) More BOV options.
We all love the sound of a blowoff valve. But some cars don't have them. I think it should be an optional part added to some cars, because we also all love that sexy turbo flutter, even though we know it isn't that healthy for your turbo. Most racecars benefit from not using a bov, and the turbo flutter mods are not really that great. Also we need a little more variety in sounds from blowoff valves. Right now, its the same sound over and over, just at different volumes. It would be nice to have slight variance, especially if you take the bov off, because hearing the same flutter would get repetitive quite fast.
    7.) Supercharger whine.
The lack of a proper supercharger sound is so ridiculous, and it drives me insane. Seriously devs. Come on. I really hope to see one soon.

That was my 7 important additions to BeamNG drive, and I hope some people agree with me at least. Sorry for making it so long, I felt the need to explain lol. This is my first forum post, so I apologize if I make any mistakes or anything, I'd really appreciate seeing a discussion below. :)

Hi I would add particles that make the car while doing for example a rally gets dirty or if it accidentally loses paint or some piece of livery and modify the sounds when you make the exact accident that they are all the same.

Yeah, cars getting dirty is a feature in most games, and a really important part of realistic gameplay. Depending on how fast you drive, or how hard you hit something, more of a dirt texture could cover the car in places it should. Wouldn't be that hard. Paint chips when driving in gravel would be really nice too.

If it wasn't that hard, why isn't it already in the game? I reckon that this feature, while being cool and all, would probably lag quite a lot of computers during mild crashes or off-roading, which would make Beam far less fun to play for most people. Until the graphics engine doesn't take as much of an impact on performance, then I think that dirt/paint scratches won't be coming to Beam anytime within a year or two. It may be possible, for all I know, but it's something which may be added closer to the full release of Beam.

However, I'd have to agree with you on all of the other suggestions that you brought up, especially supercharger whine. I would love to have the supercharged cars of this game sound so much meaner and more awesome, and having this feature in-game would help that out massively.

I think most of not all of the sounds you suggested are planned. Not sure about a proper anti-lag set up or visual changes for thermals. I assume the latter would have the same issues as dirt buildup and scratches, I don't know. I believe it's a game engine limitation.

As for changing liveries in the vehicle menu, I am not sure how much this would add to the game. Sure it would be nice under specific circumstances, but I'm just not sure it would be worth the effort.

As for a wider variety of skins: adding more liveries is always nice, but we already have quite a few unused ones and cars that need a skin to begin with. It's strange that we have configs that need skins and a skins that are unused. For example, the Barstow terrible edition could be a dirt racer and use the somewhat-recently added race car skin. The Moonhawk and Covet race editions really need a skin.
I would like to see skins for the hill climb and drag cars too. Those things would be littered with sponsors.

Other things I think could be changed are the details of the vehicle selector and some attention to interiors. I would love to see the option of picking an interior color and limiting the body colors to something more realistic. I've never seen so many factory option colors IRL, and it's virtually impossible to buy a new work truck in any color but white where I live.

It would be nice to have the drag car class listed in the config title. The race and custom cars were renamed to stuff like street tuned, so it would be nice to see the drag cars as pro-street/pro-stock/gasser/etc... More official drag car classes would be awesome, but that is getting close to vehicle suggestions.

As for interiors, I have mentioned this before but it never got much attention. I don't know how many people use first person much, but I use it most of the time and it feels really weird driving some of the configs as is. The drag cars and police cars are the best example. New dashboards, bucket seats, roll bars (oppose to full roll cages), police and taxi spec interiors would all make driving in first person much nicer.

Makes sense, I have to run the game on the lowest settings on my laptop, definitely wouldn't want it to become unplayable at some point.

Yes, I'm always for the idea of more parts, especially interior parts such as nicer dashboards and such on higher end models. Also maybe more rally inspired interiors on the rally cars, and race interiors on racecars. Gotta love that carbon fiber.
