Genesis F2 - BeamNG.drive's most realistic Formula (2) car - Built from the ground up to be the new standard in terms of handling, damage, and deformation physics for formula type cars, the Genesis F2 is almost a 1:1 replica of real life FIA Formula 2 cars. This post will be updated according to current progress Features Stressed member engine architecture and realistic damage : Like in real life and contrary to other formula car mods, the Genesis F2 is built around the engine being a stressed component of the car. This means it is directly attached to the back of the survival cell (monocoque) and it acts as a mount for all the stuff at the back of the car. This also means that the transmission is used to mount the rear suspension, rear wing, diffuser, and some body panels. That makes the rear half of the car detachable and it can rip itself off in hard crashes, splitting the car in 2. Every single panel is jbeamed and can be detached/removed, this makes the crashes more impressive and more realistic. Detailed suspension : Both the front and rear suspension are fully modeled and act as expected. The rear suspension is mounted to the transmission like in real life. Realistic, in-depth model 40+ individual panels, 100+ breaking points DRS Pit limiter Realistic handling Various skins 13" (2018) and 18" (2020) wheels Out now on the BeamNG repository If you enjoy my work and want to donate, you can do so by joining my Patreon! I believe raiders won't be out for a long long time, I think he's in college. OT: Looks amazing! Will the downforce be adjustable?
Once this is done, perhaps there will be a Formula One Car? I would love another one, especially if it is from the 80's-00's. Edit: 100th post!
This is shaping up to be great, however does it have the same problems as the FR17 of any crash turning it into a plane?
I like how people call this a problem or a bug even tho it's realistic in some way I have to admit that that effect is a bit overdone on the FR17, it'll be wayyyy less agressive on this. But it will still have that, there's no way around it.
