    GOLF 4 GAUGES ON COVET
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Since i live in Europe i thought the imperial gauges were useless for me, so i downloaded some mods for imperial gauges. But i could not find any mod that creates metric gauges for the covet.

    I thought the golf 4 gauges would fit the covet perfectly!

    A few hours and steps later:
    - decent texture from a golf 4 (see attached files)
    - a custom slot for the gauges on the covet

    - A mod file with the texture in it

    But 1 big problem, when select the gauges (in game) then i loads with the whole dash orange saying no texture.

    IT WOULD BE AWESOME IF SOMEBODY CAN HELP ME OUT AND LOOK FOR THE PROBLEM!

    Sorry for my bad english!

    I think that at least those dots can cause issues as usually dots in names break materials.cs:
    hatch_gauges.skin_gauges.myCustomGauge

    Press ~ key to bring up console and see if it gives other error messages.

    It gives 3 lines of errors;

    - only rgb formats are supported: [vehicles/hatch/customGauge/hatch_gauges_d_customGauge]
    - failed to validate texture parameters for dds file : [vehicles/hatch/customGauge/hatch_gauges_d_customGauge]
    - failed to load diffuse map : [vehicles/hatch/customGauge/hatch_gauges_d_customGauge]

    Your image had wrong size and format. Beamng only supports power of 2 size. This means height and width of your image can't be of any length you wish, but of a number of pixels that is 2 multiplied by itself (2, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048...). And choose DXT5 format when saving your image.
    Here's a new file that will work
