Well currently, I have a computer with a I-3 processor, and a NVidia GTX 745 processor. If I want to upgrade, I am thinking an GTX 845 or 865. Is it possible to have a dual 845/865? Just want to know in the future, thanks in advance.
I can safely say you have no idea what you're talking about. There are no GTX 8x5 cards. What is your budget for an upgrade?
Well, I thought there were. Anyways, I would like a better desktop setup with dual GPU's, do you recommend a GTX 980ti? And another CPU. I am planning on building this not now, but later. Currently I have a prebuilt.
The 980Ti is an outdated card. If you were to build a new PC it would make sense to buy the latest card, especially as Nvida's new 1000 series is very good and a significant step over the last series.
Why would you want dual if it's not meant to be super high end gaming or editing rig? One card makes less heat and takes less space. Some games don't even support two card setups and the effect isn't always as much as expected. Also, GTX 1070 is much cheaper(at least where I'm from) than 980ti and performs a little better. As far as I know, 1070 is much better choice if you are looking for a card to buy
Gah, that sucks hearing since I just bought a 950 from good reviews. It does me well, but yes it will have to be replaced sooner than I want to
950 is still a good card in low budget market. 1050 is just a bit better, but not by a lot. 1050ti is better, but it also costs more
If money doesn't matter, get 4 way SLI Titans. If it does, a single 1070 will outperform a dual 1060 3gb
You can't get more than one because anything under (x)x70 cards doesnt support it. You can't get five because no GPU at all supports running five of it self linked together. But, yes, it's a good GPU. However, if you have no budget, just go for a 1080/1080ti once that's out.
You do not need, nor should you get dual/triple/quad GPUs. Also, why would you get multiple low-end cars when a single high-end card is better in every way? Dual 980ti s are a several thousand dollar enthusiast upgrade that's ridiculous for anyone but enthusiasts. There is no way you need that level of power, especially since the rest of your PC is modest in comparison. You also don't want to be dealing with awful performance scaling, compatibility issues and multiplied heat output/power usage. So stick to a single GPU. Also, I think you need to do your research more before considering graphics cards. Your lack of knowledge and lack of budget will prove dangerous to your upgrade plan. Look at an RX 480 or GTX 1060, it'll do you well at a reasonable price.
Well, how much money do you have? If you have the money for a whole new computer, I suggest you do that. If you don't, a single GPU is plenty good enough to go with a Core i3 CPU.
I would recommend the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070, it's probably the best card overall right now and def. worth the 400 to 500 dollars, I would also recommend the R9 390X (My card) but it is a power hog and can run hot if not ventilated well, mine hit 200 degrees Fahrenheit just sitting at the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare menu for like 2 hours, yet in game it rarely even gets warm lol. If you can afford it, 980 Ti, 1080, and Titan Pascal are insane cards, but really have no purpose other than overkill, and get whooped by AMD in DX12 But personally if I was you I'd upgrade the CPU to at least a 2500K I5 and pair it with say a 780 Ti or 1060 6GB.
I think it is a 1080p, sorry if you don't understand, I get parts and stuff, but not if they work together :C
