I don't think we need a graphic update. The graphics are good how they are.

And for us toasters, a graphic update is last on our list.

Maybe an optimization/bugfix update? Just 0.11.1 fixing every bug reported since the beginning, and optimizing as much as possible.
I think that would solve a lot of bad reviews.

Throw a reshade on it if you can handle the 5fps drop with certain options. It makes a big difference and you can customize the look to you liking. But as for an official graphics update ehh, I personally think it looks good besides some of the colors of grass textures and tree textures being too bright which can be adjusted with reshade.

What some of the commenters seem to be missing here is that BeamNG.drive's graphics *do* look pretty dated compared to modern racing games. At some level it's unfair to compare BeamNG to companies with larger development budgets, but even looking at a game like Wreckfest people should be able to see the difference between that game and BeamNG.drive.

Fortunately though, the devs have realised that BeamNG has a graphics disadvantage and have stated in the past that they are considering a move to a physically-based rendering system in the future, which will greatly increase the realism and immersion of BeamNG's graphics. People on low-end hardware need not worry since they will be able to turn down effects if needed (although "low-end hardware can't run it" should never be a reason to hold back progress)
