    Hello everyone,
I has a question about the graphics card usage in beamng. When i play games like battlefield4, my graphics card load is around 99% (logically for max fps). But when i play beamng, the performaance is sometimes not very good, but the graphics card is not fully loaded (not even close). I look after it with nvidia inspertor. I make some screenshots to show what i mean. My processor isn't limiting (ca 50% load). I hope someone know what to do :D
    regards RENNFISCH

You have the same laptop as me but i have the 765m variant. And I am having the same problem. But it doesnt really bother me to much since i can still max the game out.

What is your FPS? If you pause BeamNG what what is your FPS?

You are probably CPU limited in that situation, the graphics card is left waiting for the CPU to feed it so its utilization is not 100%.

    Hello,
when I play I normally have ~45-50fps(max settings). But sometimes i have just 8-16 and it looks like in the screenshots. Im sure the cpu dont limit it, because the cpu has just ~50%load. I will test my fps when I pause the game.
Here a screenshot when i play battlefield 4 (with a pause between). As you can see: 99% load(sensefull, right?)
    regards RENNFISCH

It doesn't matter if the CPU is only at 50%. You're cpu is bottlenecking the system. This game (or any game actually) is not meant to be played on a laptop.

    Hello,
now a double post to preserve the order:D. It doesnt matter if the game is paused or not. Here another screenshot. Left side Battlefield4 (with one pause between two rounds), rigt side beamng. I dont know why there is such a big difference.
AND dont come with: Laptops aren't good for games. That was true before 10 years ;).

Laptop's arent good for games? Are you retarded? We both have GAMING laptops. They are gonna game fine. If you are only getting 40fps+ and up on Max just turn the settings down a bit turn on vsync and you wont have to worry about it. These 7xx series mobile cards arent that strong so they are kinda a bottle neck.

Where are you getting your CPU load figure from? Chances are you just arent accounting for idle cores. 2 cores at max load and 2 cores idle (when gaming this is a very possible situation) will still show as a 50% total CPU load.

This is a very CPU intensive game.

Games can be played on laptops just fine, just not as cheaply or even as close to as well as a desktop. Is just a lower powered system, there's no magic "oh it's a laptop switch" that we'll ignore and slow everything down. A high-end laptop can run games just the same as an older low-end desktop.

What performance you get in Battlefield has nothing to do with fixing your problem with BeamNG. The resource usage between the two games is completely different, it doesn't matter how much your CPU is being used in Battlefield. We need the paused vs un-paused stats for BeamNG.

    Hello,
I know that i can't compare two different games. I 'm just wondering why beamng "don't use the max power of the graphicscard" although the cpu (no core) isn't fully loaded. I just used battlefield as an example to show what I mean. The usage of cpu I get from the taskmanager, where you can see the load of each core. And as I already wrote, it doesn't make a difference if the game is paused or not. But thanks for so many answers:D.

Your not giving us any evidence on CPU usage here.

As for the graphics card. If it doesnt need the entire card then it wont use the entire card, its that simple.

Can we please have the frame rates (the numbers!) for paused and un-paused?

Many tasks can't benefit from being worked on in parallel (more).

RENNFISCH open Dry Rock Island. Check your FPS and then press 'J' and check your FPS again. Then post it here please so we can see what's going on.

    Hello,
my frames on Dry Rock Island: Unpaused 35-40, paused 37-45 (I drive around on the road). The only big programms in the background are skype, steam, origin (and Gdata).Deactivating them dont increasee thefps really. So no big load. In the picture you see the cpu load with 5 AI bots (little derby ;)).
