Hate to brake this to you, but that would be almost impossible. Certainly to make it drive would be more effort than anyone is willing to put in haha.
The problem is Beam-NG vehicles have all parts separate, judging by the quality of the model and the fact its a prop i would say that's unlikely :(.

Well, ALL of those vehicles are driveable in "Carmageddon 2", all parts are detatchable and damageable too, so it should not be that hard :3

Now im new to all of this but what he is saying i believe is that the vehicles in half life 2 are 1 solid object with no seperate parts, i know when you crash into them with the buggy they just move slightly,

Beam using seperate parts so the wings the doors etc, to use that 'Prop' it would have to be totally re-done there for it would be nothing like shown from the half life series.

as for carmageddon 2 that was a totally different game again and a long time ago hell i was a kid when it came out. thoes cars are also very different.

ultimately yes you could if you knew how just grab the raw model file and drop it onto another chassis. But i believe every one here does not want drop and play models they want them to be as good as Gabes.

if you want just a drop and play model i suggest playing Rigs of Rods as there are quite a few there and i believe it is also alot easier to achieve.

if i am wrong on any of these then i will gladly stand corrected.

I know it has to be re-done alot, the reason i used carmageddon as an example is because the doors, hood, bumper, lights and everything can fall off in there, so maybe there is a way to convert the models that were made for carmageddon? I don't know, also the carmageddon version of the half life vehicles was made in 2006 i think.

If that is the case, then it would be a lot simpler to do, still by no means easy though haha

I think there are 2 models of each car, one a static mesh and the other a rigged model with opening doors, hood, trunk. Can't remember exactly though, and I'm not sure how that looks behind the scenes.
You would still have to split everything else and create an engine, etc.

Yeah, there are are two kinds of prop vehicles in Half life 2

There's the static kind, everything is one solid object, and then so-called "ragdoll" cars, where the doors, trunk, bonnet and the car's suspension wobbles around, these are rigged.

From what I remember this only is for the small hatchback that looks like a golf, one of the ZAZes with a smashed roof, and a few trailers though.

You could if you're dedicated enough, hack and slash at the one piece models, like that green car, but it would take a while, to add new faces, for the back of the front quarter panels, or whatever else you might want seperate.

It would actually be quite nice seeing the HL2 cars in BNG. Like the Jalopy, Jeep or one of the junk cars. You cloud hack together parts like the engine, wheels, exhaust, etc which already exist as a separate mesh. ;)

I'd love to have the jalopy. HL2's driving physics didn't give that car justice.

Yeah, I'm sure it drive with these physics. I mean, the damper is mounted to the engine head, can't be that bad. :p
EDIT: No wait, the dashboard. 50% stronger.
