Harnett County is Somewhat based in Central North Carolina including the Cape Fear River and the landscape around it. This map is not exact but its not meant to be. Thank you for the feedback. And although strip malls are all around this area in real life. I'm going for a smaller town approach with general stores and small "mom and pop" shops. Right now my computer is fighting Trojan but I have backups saved so expect a few days before more progress is made.
Take as much time as you need, especially if your computer is fighting off something. This is your mod, so it runs at your pace. As long as you give relatively regular updates on your situation, you don't have to have anything done. Just a small post telling what's going on will dispel a lot of people going,"ware are mod?" Just a suggestion. I do like the mom and pop feel.
Yeah. I have been working on this for 3 weeks now but now that I have made some good progress I feel it's time to make a thread. I have a pc tech coming today so hopefully you all will see progress soon.

It would be super cool to see a lake with lake houses and it would be REALLY cool to see some car props so the town doesn't look so abandoned. Just some ideas!
Wow! Looks like the kind of map i'd like! It reminds me of one of my favourite maps from Rigs Of Rods, Vernio City for some reason even though they're very different.

wat about some small details like trash, trash bins, fallen trees, stuff like that also farms? this is my new favorite WIP map
This map currently has a logging mill with clear cut area behind with fallen trees and stumps. And if I had trash props I would. I can see about a farm.
Alright guys so progress has been slow, I work 3 days a week and do school in between so I only have saturdays and sundays to work on my maps. Expect more progress screenshots soon.
