apparently modsfire allows for monetization without making the mod paid, probably through ads anyways, im gonna sacrifice my pc. but hey, i broke the #1 rule of connecting a windows xp machine to the internet, then proceeded to plug my usb into it, so hey, probably got a virus already --- Post updated --- welp, the jbeam mentions NSD, which, yeah, OP credited the lua folder has 4 scripts, one of them even having ACM written in it. there are however 2 .lua files (autohold and esp) which don't mention anyone. other than that, there isn't really anything to note, this just feels like a normal Vivace meshslap. meaning that the mod was probably made before, and the creator just joined the forums
Yeah I think you can actually make money off of the pop ups. But overall I am always very hesitant to download from there and would have to be super hyped on the mod to do that, and I think others would share similar views. Thank you for risking your pc for science, now we know that it's legit-ish.
Greetings! The mod was actually created earlier, the name of the mod mentions the release date, I just wanted to post my work on the forum. Regarding ModsFire, I've always used it and seen others do the same, I can imagine that my account looks suspicious, but I can prove my authorship. Regarding the LUA files, they belong to me, but in Autohold and in ESP I forgot to specify my authorship (I just didn't worry about it before), I have an unpacked mod version where the dates of LUA's addition to the mod are visible, perhaps this will slightly strengthen my authorship Quite a lot of work has been done with JBeam, and it differs from stock vivace.
As someone who made skins and helped finish Jbeam, I can confidently say that the mod is not a threat and is quite good in quality. Even though I don't really know the quality standards of forum mods, but this mod isn't just another piece of crap from m*dl*nd.
Idk Modsfire is fine, as long as you know what you are doing. Plus, some respected mods are only downloadable on modsfire like Andronisk's Volvo V60 and Phaien's Mercedes SL63.
Off topic, but XP is nowhere near as bad as people say it is. With it fully updated and with the POS2009 updates slapped on it and having it not fully exposed to the internet (pretty much just a standard Router's firewall should do just fine), and XP should be mostly fine. I have done it plenty of times, and it works okay.
Yall gotta quit worrying about the sites so much I have been downloading for 5+ years for this game and never had an issue as long as you run a pop up blocker most will do fine. never had one virus, a couple broke mods yes but that's no biggie. If you hadn't done so go check out this mod and give him a break. For it being Chinese slop idk, as far as they go on cars have you seen the cars they are putting out that we can't get in the states and for half the price?Talking tank turn 1000hp electric sports cars with a price tag of a new Nissan Altima here.... As far as beam goes this Crossover has little to no bugs or glitches and has one of the best AWD systems I have seen. Feels very accurate to drive.
Very good mod, only thing missing is US plates and the descriptions for some of the configs could be better.
