Having some issues with terrain editing

    Hey all, this is my first time posting. I'm having some issue with creating my first map, how do I change the material of a terrain block? I cant paint the terrain block or push and pull it using the tools, the whole area is just an orange block with, "NO MATERIAL" pasted all over, yet I cant find out how to change its material to something like grass. I just started using the editor so I'm kind of lost, can anyone help me out? Thanks! I added a screenshot below to show what I mean.
