Hey guys, I have pretty much got motors down but I cant figure out suspension, I know lift kits have been mentioned but there was never really an actual answer, I know I'm gonna get comments like "Why do you need a lift kit there is already one" or "Get out of here you redneck" But honestly I am sure alot of people have the same question, and I know there is a lift kit but if you have been offroading before you will know the lift kit in the game is not enough. Anyways, thanks for reading guys any help would be appreciated!

Changing the beamPrecompression on the shocks is the easiest way to lift a vehicle. However due to the suspension geometry if you go too high it will cause lots of issues: http://wiki.beamng.com/Beams
Most official vehicles use variables for ride height, you can set the max number of the ride height variable within the vehicles variables section to something higher and then use the tuning menu in game to lift the vehicle: http://wiki.beamng.com/Variables This is effectively just changing the beamPrecompression in game though, and will still run in to problems if you raise it too high.

If you want to go really high, like a mud truck, well thats a whole different can of worms. Youd have to move the axle nodes down, edit the mesh/make your own mesh parts to match the new height of the suspension, and then fix all the problems that arise due to the extreme suspension geometry. Start here if you want to try: http://wiki.beamng.com/JBeam_Introduction
