HELP NEEDED! Saving a box made in blender (trying to follow blijo's tutorial)

So, i wanted to try and do a simple mod for beamng (box on top of Moonhawk) and is not saving right.
here is what i am trying to do:
my box: had to open moonhawk.dae (which is the moonhawk model) to position box correctly on top. Tutorial said to delete all moonhawk files but keep box so i did.


where i'm trying to save it to(tutorial said to create all those sub folders)

it saves but then i go into that same folder in files app and these two files come up (dont know why moonhawk is there but ok)

I open each file on and for both this comes up which is the default box and is not positioned like mine.

can someone please help me? I am sooo confused. I just want to make a darn box! Thank you!
