I think your just referring to the feedback noise, which basically is just a sign that the speaker is working perfectly fine and is getting power.
So the guy cant tell the difference between a graphics card driver and the directX api. Cant use an edit button. Cant actually tell us what is wrong so anyone can put it right. Yet we are to PM him when we want detailed system builds PM'ing to us.
I know only a little about amplifiers and how to set one up but my brother is an Audio technician and he knows what to do....so I can quite honestly say I am no help here... although did you make sure your PC was connected to the Amp?
What color on the motherboard is audio out, The light on the sub is too say it's on the light is off but the sub is plugged.

Hang on what Amp are you using and how powerful is it, I have blown an Amp before because I put double the rated powered speakers I was running 2 sets of 100W Mission speakers through my amp rated for 100W per channel, I was asking the Amp to provide 200W per channel @SixSixSevenSeven No idea man didnt mean to quote it I do apologize
