I have a custom 8192 x 8192 heightmap, and I think the game "thinks" that the map is 1024 x 1024 or 2048 x 2048 (not sure which one), because the terrain paint brush is way too big. Here is what I mean, the brush is as small as possible: Nyttkuva64.png

And here as big as possible: Nyttkuva65.png

And with a brush this big, accurate work is impossible to do. So what should I do to change the size of the brush?

Terrain painter I do not think is meant to be used for finely detailed work. It is meant for coverage of large areas. The fine details would be added later with decals and objects.

The bigger the map 'square-size', the less resolution your 'terrain-painting' will have:

(It's a sort of 'pixel-per-meter' option. Having it set to two for example, makes 1px of the heightmap count for 2m^2)

It makes the map smaller, so I guess no big maps then, expect making bigger heightmap?

Imagine the terrain being a grid.
Each grid square correspond to a pixel of your heightmap.
If 'Square-size' is 1, the grid square is 1m^2
If 'Square-size' is 16, the grid square is 16m^2

Bigger the square-size, less precise the 'Terrain Painting'.
Either big terrain, or precise painting, not both.
