    Highest settings.

    Specs:
    CPU - Intel Core i5-4570 3.20 GHz
    GPU - MSI Radeon R9 380 Gaming 8GB
    (Source: *me*)

Some times when play there are theses small lag waves, once in a while.. Just making my CPU usage on 100% and the GPU usage to 79-90% for no reason, and the game has already loaded in all the graphics, any idea?

    Edit:
Found some days ago that i had a 8 GB instead x'D

The GPU still gets used when nothing needs to load. Nothing weird there, other than Torque3D being terrible with optimization.
BeamNG can be really CPU hungry. When it is at 100%, how many cars do you have loaded?

Yeah, the T-series is quite CPU expensive since it has a much more complex structure than other vehicles.
You were probably monitoring load on a single thread (CPU0), with a single vehicle the other threads aren't doing anything and overall load will be ~25-30%.

BeamNG would max out a single core with the semi, but not all of them. Double check task manager to make sure there wasn't something else eating up your CPU.
    EDIT: Ninja'd

silicon termites can eat your cpu. oddly enough i usually see almost even usage across all 6 cores when i play beamng. what are the other 5 doing?

Windows things, loading, and the game is probably data logging events. The physics runs on 1 core per vehicle; the background game runs on them all (I think)

I was about to say something about the number of J-Beams in the T-Series...

Only way for BeamNG to eat the CPU is to 3d model your CPU and give BeamNG a mou-- I mean spawn in more than one vehicle. Unless you've got a dual-core.

    R9 380 Ti? Wat.
Also, again, make sure you're monitoring load for the whole CPU and not just one core.

    one core?

    What?

The CPU is at 50-70% usually with all settings on and 2-3 vehicles.

GPU is probably at 20-30% :3

Yeah, sounds like you're looking at the load for a single thread. Make sure it says 'CPU' and not 'CPU#' where # is a number between 0-3 or 1-4.
    Example (MSI Afterburner):
    cpu1.PNG cpu2.PNG
The first 4 graphs are single-thread load, while the latter is overall CPU load.

Also, there's no such thing as an R9 380 Ti, nor is there an 8GB R9 380. Did you mean 390/390X?

Your CPU has 4 cores. You can measure CPU load for the whole CPU, or for a single core.
50-70% single thread load with a normal vehicle, 100% with a T-series is normal for an i5.
So. You're most likely looking at the load for a single core. Not the whole CPU.

Also, the GPU in your signature does not exist.
