Get a better laptop

 

turn off any useless background programs. and it's a laptop which means it's probably filled with bloatware that eat up ram.

 

Try restarting the computer.

 

i would expect a laptop that costed over a grand to run beamng

 

Over a grand isn't that expensive, especially for gaming.

Open task manager and sort by memory usage, beamng should be at the top but what other things consume a lot of ram ? Look if you can get rid of these programs. Also look in the startup tab and deactivate everything you don't need.

the background apps that are not windows that i have are fanatec,avg,oculus,steam,vanguard,ccleaner.orgin,parsec,java,thrustmaster,logitech and razor sounds like a lot but they only use like 20mb each i feel there might be something wrong with the game on my gaming pc it uses 5-6gb of ram but my laptop uses 13-14gb ive went through the user files of the game and the files were repeated a few times probably happend when i was moving the user folder and in the mods folder there where 450 files which showed up in game as duplicated but i thought it was only like 10 ive removed those files and it uses alot less
