How are you preparing yourself for BeamNG?

Well, I don't post here often (Yeah, like never). Buuuuut...

How are you preparing yourself for the awesomeness of what we all assume will be the program/game's release? Re-watching all previous gameplay videos? Spending time fine-tuning your PC? Going on a racing game streak?

Well, me personally, I'm having a Rigs of Rods fest, downloading all the highest-rated cars around and creating myself one giant soft-bodied mess of cars.

So. What are you up to?

 

Think we have enough threads about this but wutever,

I've been plying rigs of rods lately as well, hope it will have the same controls so i dont have to get used to the menus and controls of BeamNg (Drive)...

Been playing a lot of Need For Speed Shift 2 Unleashed. Hoping the driving physics will be kinda like that....

 

Sheeeeitt. Couldn't find another the same as this one, but seeing as it's been done before I could remove this if anyone likes, keep the forums a bit cleaner.

And, Davey. I've been playing some Dirt 3, although I BeamNG's handling is bound not to feel anything like arcady as those two games. We'll still get amazing kicks out of speed though, if not more.

 

How am i preparing?

Playing ror and saving up my penny's to get a core i7 3770k 16Gbs ram and a GTX760

 

I'm going to wait see alot of dissapointed people when drive isn't a demo lol.

 

Once that's all together that'll be a beautifully powerful rig. What are you currently running on?

I'm Playing lost of Rigs of Rods I think i red somewhere that the alpha is free, right?

 

my upgrade is costing me less than 700 pounds

 

trying to keep my jaw in place while constantly looking at the drive tab thinking its either a dream or im halucinating...

 

Well, I've been watching this forum for a looooong time and since they're giving a countdown I figured what the heck, I'd register and give you all this little tidbit I found on Nadeox's Youtube:

I think it's safe to assume that it's going to be a tech demo. As for what I'm doing, I'm watching crash test vids on Youtube, some before-released BeamNG vids and watching the countdown. May play some RoR later, but I dunno. I kinda want to build up to Drive, maybe some Saints Row 3 later, I'm not sure. Either way, I think it'll be worth the wait.


Or I'll be among those sorely disappointed. xD

Well, I have started playing RoR again a bit. If the physics are really as intense as I've been hearing then maybe re-overclock my CPU? (GPU is already well overclocked)

Also, It would be pretty cool if you could utilize a second monitor if you have one (I do, but it's not widescreen like my main one) for specs such as broken parts, engine, speed, etc.

 

Having just remembered that 'Drive' will support the Occulus Rift, I have the sudden urge to begin saving for one. Among the other games it supports it looks wonderful. C:

Seems like most of the posters here are just burning time doing something that is in most sense related to Drive. Really shoes there's a lot of hype for this countdown.

 

I updated fraps, gpu drivers, defragged hdd, etc.

I am honestly not at my Gaming PC atm, just waiting paitently, to go to sleep to wake up at 4am tomorrow to test it. I really hope that it will be avalible to download all the time and not for like 6 hours or something. But other than that, I have been playing Rigs of Rods a lot, running it like a boss annnnnd i am going to buy an SSD to start making gaming vids specifically on the new software of 'Drive"
