How can I edit BeamNG cars in Blender?

I'd like to take an already made BeamNG car and put it into blender to edit the model. How can I do this? I don't see any possible way to put the model in.

 

Open the vehicle's .dae in Blender.

 

Open blender and import the dae file of your chosen car

When I put in the ibishu 200bx it comes with tons of modifications. Can I get the base version without deleting stuff?

 

Nope, that's how the cars are made

Copy the main body, open another blender window, paste it in. Always keep the original file open so you can copy and paste parts you need into the new blender window as you work. Remember to rename edited parts
