    Hello BeamNG.drive community,

I have a simple question about something. how do you change the logos on a vehicle for fun? I have basically no knowledge in this stuff (I'm only good at Photoshop). I'm a quick learner so this shouldn't be hard for me.

Thank you for any response in advance.

    sincerely,

    olamercedes

    Which logos?
    The ones on the vehicles?

If you want to do that without breaking anything, you should also know how to work with a 3D modelling software.
First, you'd want to duplicate the 'mesh' that is used for the lettering on that car, and assign a new material to it.
Then you copy the original 'logo' material, and instead of still using the original textures, you point them to your custom textures.

i was trying to put ibishu logos on the gavril d-series truck. I have used blender in the past, but for small little projects. so when you say duplicate and copy, im guessing you mean in the same file or i create a seperate file for the new mesh?

You can export your 'new' duplicate of the lettering mesh in a new .dae.
Then you also need to create a 'duplicate' lettering part in a .jbeam file, so that it loads your custom one.

Basically, what you want to do is create a new part for a vehicle.
You can read the basics here:
    https://wiki.beamng.com/Creating_A_Simple_Addon

What I'm suggesting is basically duplicate the 'lettering mesh', and make it unique so that you can put your own textures/materials on it.

    Yeah, seems a good start.

Don't forget to use a unique name in the material:

Also, when you save your .DAE file, save it as another file (do not overwrite the original .dae, or you will break it)
