How do I get an 3d model into the editor to put it on the map?

I exported a model (.dae, which is the right kind I think) from blender using the template on this page Exporting_static_objects but I don't know how to put it into the game. halp

edit: I'm not really sure how all this stuff under scene in blender works. Am I just supposed to load the template and then import the dae, and then export the dae again?

I honestly think there might be something wrong I've done in blender before anything else that's causing problems too. Can someone look at this for me and tell me if it's ok? This isn't with the template applied.

Thanks for the comment Darren. I tried something similar to that because I saw .dae files in the misc folder in the shapes folder of the gridmap folder and decided I would put my track's .dae in there to see if I could load it. I think it did, but it's invisible or something and caused weird triangles to pop out around the window. It was strange and i'm not really sure how to describe it.

I did get it to kind of show up on the map. I didn't use the template and just exported it to see if I could at least see it in game.

Well, when I model something in Blender, I export it as .dae, then go to, for example, right click on the shortcut on your desktop, then I export it to, i.e, levels/gridmap/art/shapes/custom (I made the custom folder), then I go into world editor (F11) then scene tree/mesh/levels/gridmap/art/shapes/custom, then you should see your .dae, then just double click and import it.:D

Where did you get that fence?
