    I'm trying to add the HT-55 engine sounds to the Belaz, I removed the sbeam sounds and added the soundconfig stuff to the engine and exhaust jbeam but it's still using the old 0.3 era default engine sound.

    all that should need doing is the reference within the jbeam that tells the game which sound to give it, theres a folder of sounds in \BeamNG.drive\content\art_sound.zip\art\sound\blends. You just have to make sure the name in the jbeam perfectly matches the name of the blend file

    I copied the soundconfig lines directly from the "dumptruck" engine and exhaust jbeams and pasted them into the respective Belaz jbeams

    maybe try clearing cache after doing so, it might just be that the old engine sound is cached and needs removing before the new sound loads

    usually it works off the bat for me simply changing the sound config name

    That's the main issue I'm having, this mod didn't even have a soundconfig section due to it's age, I've changed engine sounds in newer mods (0.10 era and up) without any issues. I believe it was 0.10 that added the soundconfig feature.

    ohh i get you, i believe you need to define sound config further up in the jbeam

    adding these two lines into //node beam interface should potentially help

    Code:
            "soundConfig": "soundConfig",
            "soundConfigExhaust": "soundConfigExhaust",

    The mod doesn't even have that section so I tried putting that in the closest one I could find but no dice.
