i want to start making mods the problem is I don't know-how first, i want to learn how to make car parts like headlights taillights hoods, and bumpers because someone said to start with that then move on to making a whole car the first thing I wanna learn to make is the headlights i tried finding tutorials no luck the wiki doesn't show how to make car parts or it does I'm just too dumb to find it any help mean a lot most mod makers iv contacted to help me with all said no or just didn't respond
Modding for dummies discord: https://discord.com/invite/39dvN7z They'll have all the resources you'll need.
Also most the people dont wanna help at all there tutorials arent that detailed they assume you know some things when you ask for help its rare to get or evan get a respond if you do they give up on you half making you sut there and get fustrated also they make fun have you aswell Honestly if i knew how to mod id make a yt video explaing everything along the way step by step and people ask questions i would try my hardest to help them evan if it means i have to for more then 2hrs I offer them money aswell no responds And if some helps me 1v1 step by step id give em 50aud evan if it means id stay hungry for a day like holy its so annoying when no one wants to help you
Everyone there does that out of there own freetime, so to be fair they're not obligated to help you by any means. And I saw at least 2 people guiding you through very basic things, so I dunno why you're saying no one is helping.
Did you also see them say im no skill skill issue Also did the the people who were guiding me suddenly stop and not respond 2 people helped me and im not saying they have to help me or others its there choice Its so fkn annoying when the tutorial pics are so blurry and really outdated to the point of them being useless in some parts like for blender and some of the codes or files are soo blurry 8 cannat read them evan i zoom in
Learn Blender. I'm also extremely new to modding myself, but there are a couple of great Blender tutorials on YouTube that can definitely get you started on modelling, which is a vital part of BeamNG modding, to an extent. I get it. Blender does have a pretty steep learning curve (for me at least, coming from Autodesk Fusion), but it's all a matter of patience, dedication and practice, really. Oh, and a sizeable amount of spare time. It's sort of surprising how far you can get just on your own. Also, no offense or anything, but do you mind putting punctuation in your sentences? I find them quite hard to read.
Ye i know that im trying to learn blender aswell the part thats annoying is lets say i made a headlight(right now im obsessed with making a headlight) i dont how to make it glow or make the object thats ment to be the bolb or led glow its really hard to try to go further without knowing if someone will help you when you get to that point sorry with the spelling i am on the verge of blowing up a building becouse im so angry (im not mad at anyone just mad that i cant learn it wich to be fair is a me problem ik)
Well you see, modding is a multiple-step process (mind blown) so you can't really try to do one step when you haven't completed the previous one yet. First learn how to model, then learn how to texture (both steps are doable in Blender). Then, maybe start learning some coding and write a JBeam file so you can get the headlight in-game. Headlights also need glowmap codes in the JBeam script, because they're supposed to emit light. Treat modding as a step-by-step process, and I'm sure that eventually, you'll get somewhere. All the top beamng modders (nekkit, lucasbe, kueso, lj74 just to name a few) probably first started on level one sometime in their life, too!
Thank you iv calm down abit ik my goal now learn blender i appreciate your help mean allot thank i wish you luck on your journey mine aswell farewell --- Post updated --- My spelling was bad just there my bad
Sorry that I "suddenly stopped and didn't respond" but I have a life and helping you isn't my responsibility, also try something easier than headlights if they are too hard for you, I suggest a bumper, they are really basic
Oh i wasnt talking about you you helped i was talking about someone else agent --- Post updated --- Ok before more people get upset from discord the two people who helped me allot and 3 i remember two of them one is agent others sean and another guy also another guy who gave me details about the headlights also another person too others have helped too reason i said none rarely helps is when i ask for help everyones asleep and have responded to me recently ' also one of my friends said devs are assoles but thats not true
