First one, the picture I've not made myself, but the indicator animation I did make myself, second one I drew it onto a layer on top of the first one and then disabled the layer for the first one. Well, you got BeamNG colors on 2nd one and it has more effort put to it, so 2nd one is obvious choice. Also as first one has lot of stuff it is bit stuffed with everything in small space and with quick glance it does get mixed up with many other photo avatars, new one is simpler and more unique, which makes it easier to tell it is you which really is purpose of avatars, to be representative of you, kinda like virtual face of yours, so others can identify you without need to read user name every time.
