playing the "bank robbery" scenario with the Sunburst seems to have very inconsistent damage results.

The scenario ends when the policeData.damage variable in the lua file exceeds 3500. Which is about right, but if you do nothing else besides break off one of the rear-view mirrors on the sunburst, the damage goes instantly up over 2500 (i added a helper.flashUiMessage line to display damage as it occurs).

So how exactly is "damage" calculated? It seems to have no relation to the number of deformed or broken beams. is there something in a jbeam file or something that can be adjusted to make the loss of a rearview mirror less "damaging"? lol
