So I got my new Lenovo about Easter time this year because the old computer from 2004 that I used to own got a virus that cause windows media centre. I did get all my files on to 5 8 GB USB stick. Funny thing is that it had 76.8 GB of memory on there and 10 GB left. Also the old one had no sound.
My system is 2 years old and its still got a total storage about 9.5TB (approx) and I have enough storage for years to come, its home built, I would suggest going home built rather than store bought because you know exactly what is inside your pc and you get what you pay for
Most of my PC is about 2 years old but some parts are newer than that. I love its looks, it has an i7 4790, 8GB ddr3, 2tb hard drive, 250 GB SSD, RX 470 and a bunch of fancy fans. I just wish I had a better camera.
Calm your tits. Some computers aren't built by an OEM. You need to account for that if you're going to demand that everyone vote. (don't do that, it's how you get people to ignore your thread entirely)
Best advised not to push people to vote, my own system doesnt fit any of your categories that why I am not voting because its not store bought its home built
Ah okay I understand, dont worry, but earlier it seemed as if in posts 5 and 8 you pushed people to vote, not a good way of making a good impressions...
well a lot of people on this forum have custom pcs, most of which will have motherboards such as gigabyte, asrock, asus, msi etc. the case brand means nothing. it is the guts which give the branding especially the motherboard
Out of those brands in the vote, the only one I've had experience with is HP/Compaq. While the computers theirself are built well enough, the amount of bloatware crap they come with is insane, as well as the fact that you're locked out of every option there is in the BIOS menu. If it weren't for those two things, they'd be pretty good. But because of those things the computers drive me insane. Recently had a problem with one where changing one BIOS setting would've probably solved it instantly. I wasn't allowed to change that option, so a simple fix became my whole weekend. It sucked
Jeez where to start, I have a IBM PS/2 made in 1989, a custom built Athlon XP PC I rebuilt this year, hardware is from 2003 ish, a IBM ThinkPad T42P made in 04, Lenovo ThinkPad T60 made in 06, a Lenovo ThinkPad T430i made in 2012, my custom built PC which started out as a Pentium 3 rig which I upgraded over the years latest was 2016 and my current MSI laptop I bought off my brother made in 2016.
